Compliance and the Green Claims Code

Join the BDC and C2 Compliance (C2C) for an interactive workshop for bio-based entrepreneurs and businesses seeking to understand trading standards, consumer law, and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) Green Claims Code – which sets out 6 key points to check your environmental claims are genuinely green.

C2C are consumer and trading standards legal compliance experts with over 30 years of combined experience. As Chartered Trading Standards Practitioners they have advised hundreds of businesses from start-ups to multi-nationals on a wide range of issues to ensure compliance with the multitude of legislation to protect businesses and help them grow. They provide training to businesses and regulators nationally and across Europe focussing on fair trading and claims as well as product safety and managing risks.

This workshop will provide an introduction to compliance, trading standards, and consumer law with a special focus on the Green Claims Code. The workshop will also include an opportunity to receive one-to-one mentoring from C2C to provide advice for companies on the legal requirements of their specific products and services.

Free to attend, this interactive workshop and networking lunch is aimed at entrepreneurs, early-stage or more-established companies looking to understand their legal obligations when promoting their green credentials.
