Accelerating entrepreneurial innovation is at the heart of building a circular bioeconomy. If you are an entrepreneur or a start-up in the bioeconomy, we can help you develop and commercialise your product or process.
Let us introduce you to our contacts with investors and technology scouts or why not take part in one of our pitchfest opportunities?
Supply chain introductions
We can introduce you to researchers, businesses, funders and investors operating at each stage of the supply chain across our region as well as in Europe, through our links with European bioeconomy clusters.
We develop and deliver specialised business training programmes for bio-based entrepreneurs that include:
- live pitches to a panel of investors with interests in the sector
- individual mentoring sessions with successful business leaders
- peer-to-peer learning and networking with other bio-based companies
- masterclasses from experts in finance, regulation, IP, risk and opportunity
Examples include our Biocamps – week-long intensive training and mentoring – as well as shorter one or two-day courses, such as those we have delivered for the THYME project, N8-agri-food and the High Value Biorenewables network.
BioVale can provide your bio-based SME or start up with funded-support through the ERDF-funded business assist scheme of the BDC. This could be advice on your communications, support to develop your business pitch, signposting to grants or event organisation.
