Join us at the World Biogas Expo 2022

BioVale and the Biorenewables Development Centre are delighted to be attending the World Biogas Expo 2022 where we will be exhibiting in the Research and Innovation Hub (stand R&I 2,3 and 4) on 15-16 June at the NEC, Birmingham.

The World Biogas Expo is the only global trade expo dedicated to the anaerobic digestion and biogas industry, providing the latest market and technology news, sector by sector, as well as a platform for industry professionals from the UK and overseas to network, share experiences and do business.

As part of our business support programme we will be showcasing three Yorkshire SMEs at our exhibition stand:

Verdant Biotech are developing enzyme applications to significantly improve the yield, process operation and plant economy of anaerobic digesters. They exclusively supply next-generation enzymes to UK and Irish Anaerobic Digestion plants for their partner Biopract ABT GmbH; allowing smoother operation, higher yields and improved substrate utilisation.

WRM are the UK’s leading organic waste management consultancy with a team of technical consultants and anaerobic digestion specialists who provide assurance in strategic, development, and operational projects.

NNFCC is a strategic business consultancy covering all bioeconomy sectors. The company mission is to provide clients with a strategic view of feedstocks, technologies, policies and market development across the bioeconomy, enabling them to make informed business decisions and develop sustainable business strategies.

Running alongside the Expo this year, the inaugural World Biogas Summit is a thought leadership forum where speakers from around the globe will provide invaluable insights into the industry’s potential to address global challenges and how to make it happen.

On Day 1, as part of the panel for the R&I Hub – Biogas Futures session (12:45 – 13:30) Anna Alessi, Project & Communications Manager, Biorenewables Development Centre will be discussing the Anaerobic Digestion and Circular Economy Yorkshire (ADCEY) Project and the BDC’s role in de-risking R&D in the bioeconomy. At this session our partner Professor James Chong from the University of York will be discussing advances in our ability to harness the power of methanogens.

Lucy Hopwood, Director and Lead consultant for bioenergy and anaerobic digestion at the NNFCC will be presenting on the ‘blueprint for getting community buy in’ as part of the Biogas: How to build out fast and build out successfully session. (10:30 – 11:15).

We are looking forward to meeting new connections and catching up with old friends at the event as well as showcasing representatives of Yorkshires vibrant anaerobic digestion sector. Register today and come and visit us at stand R&I 2,3,4.
