Digestate from anaerobic digestion (AD) is a valuable fertiliser for crops but can also represent a pollution hazard to both soil and the air. This workshop will consider the issue from the viewpoint of both policy makers and farmers and showcase some new technologies that might provide a solution for farmers as well as new value streams for AD operators. The event is followed by an optional networking lunch. Speakers will include:

  • Jonathon Skidmore (Natural England): the Catchment Sensitive Farming Initiative
  • Bart Bonsall (TCBB Resource): new ammonia extraction technology
  • Simon Temple (J F Temple & Sons Ltd): ammonia emission reduction at Copys Green Farm
