Support for BioVale

BioVale is led by industry for industry. Represented on our Steering Group are regional bioeconomy companies: AB Agri, Croda, Drax, NFU, Precision Decisions and the Stockbridge Technology Centre. Also represented on the Steering Group are the University of York, the Biorenewables Development Centre (BDC), the City of York Council (CYC), Fera and the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

We bring together around 400 members with a shared interest in producing and using biobased raw materials.

BioVale has funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation and businesses and create jobs and assist local community regeneration.

BioVale also has funding from Research England, as part of the THYME project (Teesside, Hull and York – Mobilising Bioeconomy Knowledge Exchange ). The THYME project is a £5 million project to develop the bioeconomy across Yorkshire, the Humber and the Tees Valley, led by the University of York.
