BioVale helps businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber to capitalise on new opportunities in the global bioeconomy and works to establish the region’s international reputation as a centre for innovation in this sector.

International partnership and knowledge transfer

If you want to develop international collaborations or projects for research, development or knowledge transfer, we can help you find partners or funding through our strategic relationships with international organisations:

  • BioVale has excellent relationships with Europe’s other leading bioeconomy clusters and we are a founding member of Europe’s leading bioeconomy intercluster, 3BI.
  • Biobased Industries Consortium (BIC): Through our BIC membership, we can represent the interests of small and medium-sized companies and help them access €3.7 billion of funding in the EU’s public-private partnership on Bio-based Industries (BBI).

Attracting inward investment to the region

We work to secure Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in local companies and research, from overseas multinationals, international entrepreneurs, start-up companies and high growth SMEs. We encourage bioeconomy businesses from other countries and other UK regions to locate here.

Export support

The global bioeconomy sector is growing rapidly and could be a major source of growth for companies prepared to export overseas. We can help you find the support you need to access new markets in the rapidly expanding global bioeconomy.

Join us for specialised support, information and contacts in the rapidly expanding bioeconomy

BioVale can give our science base, industry and agriculture the international profile that it deserves.
